Service is a major part of the Texas Wrangler Darlins. Active members of Darlins are required to complete 10 hours of service and new members of Darlins are required to complete 16 hours of service. New Darlins are also required to organize a service event for their class.
Each semester Darlin service projects typically include events at Down Home Ranch, Kickball with Kids, and volunteering at LOPE ranch. Our members also attend repetitive weekly service events with Feed My People and Austin State Supported Living Center.
Throughout the year, we help out the Wranglers with their philanthropic work for The Easter Seals of Central Texas. This includes the annual City Wide Hold Up, which is held in the fall. On April 28th, 2011, we are hosted our first philanthropy event , Get Rowdy for ROCK!, for the Ride on Center for Kids.
Through service, we are working towards improving the UT campus and our community around us.
