What is Learn To Be?

The Learn To Be Foundation is a 503(c)(3) non-profit that recruits volunteer tutors and facilitates free online interactive tutoring sessions for underprivileged children in subject areas such as math, science, and language arts. The majority of the students we serve are in between 5th and 10th grade.

Students from all around America log on mostly from a computer lab at school and get help instantly.

For more information, refer to the Overview, and FAQs.

The Texas Chapter

This is the official website of the Learn To Be University Chapter at the University of Texas at Austin.

At Texas, we recruit, induct, train and maintain an active tutor base. At the same time, our teams help the Foundation to develop funding sources, site partnerships, academic programming, and better resources for both the tutors and the students.

Refer to University Chapters for a list of established chapters. See here for a list of all chapters.

Not at UT Austin? Refer to our national process if you want to become a LTB certified tutor.
